Ideal for couples looking for a cool Cornish retreat, Blue Moon is a chic bohemian bolthole set in the endearing seaside town of St Ives.
Located just next to Moon Shadow, Blue Moon’s clever design and stylish details have transformed this modest fisherman’s cottage into cosy and creative space set across two levels. This makes it the perfect weekend bolthole for either a couple or a single traveller looking for somewhere more imaginative than the usual accommodation options in Cornwall.
Upstairs, the main bedroom has a custom-built king-size bed, a built-in wardrobe and a flat-screen television — and the room feels wonderfully atmospheric thanks to the exposed rafters of the original roof. Next door, there is a dressing room with space to fit a cot.
Downstairs, there is an open-plan kitchen and living area with a deep-set sofa and another flat screen television. Just opposite the bottom of the stairs is the shower room.
Living Room: Small 3 seater sofa, large flat-screen SMART TV.
Kitchen: 4-ring electric induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, fully equipped with cutlery, crockery, glasses, mugs, pots and pans etc.
Bedroom: Super king-size bed, flat screen SMART TV, hairdryer, built-in cupboard, chest of drawers.
Dressing Room: Custom built desk, cupboard, full length mirror.
Shower Room: Shower, toilet, sink.
Dogs: We are happy for you to bring a small/medium sized dog to the property at an extra charge of £30. We do ask that dogs do not go on the furniture or upstairs in the properties and any dog mess left in the area outside the cottage. Please note that Blue Moon does not have any fenced area/garden for dogs.
Unfortunately, Cornwall operates yearly dog bans from some of their beaches, permitting them only from 1st October until Easter Sunday. Please look to see which beaches your dog can go on in the spring/summer months.
Pantry Items: Olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea & herbal teas, a few Nespresso Pods. If you are serious coffee drinkers please bring your own top up selection.
Welcome Pack Items: Milk & a bottle of Cremant.
General: WiFi, electric heating, Freeview, strictly no smoking and unfortunately not suitable for a wheelchair. We also don’t provide a cot or a highchair. Check in is at 4.00pm and check out is at 10.00am.
Parking: Blue Moon comes with a private parking space located in a small courtyard underneath the property. The entrance to the courtyard is steep and narrow so this space is only suitable for small/medium size saloon or estate cars (for example a VW Polo) and not suitable for 4X4, large estate cars, sports cars or people carriers. Should you have a bigger car, Beachspoke also owns a private secure car parking space in St Ives that is available at an additional charge. Please contact the office to enquire about availability and cost.
Blue Moon is located on Porthmeor Road and is moments away from Porthmeor Beach on the northern side of the town, an area known for its thriving artist community. This means your feet can be in the sand mere minutes after stepping out of your front door. Although you are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches in St Ives — a five-minute stroll through the cobbled streets will bring you to Bamaluz, Porthgwidden and the harbour beach, along with dozens of high-quality restaurants, art galleries and craft shops.
