Located right within the centre of Bloxham, The Old Dairy is hidden away at the end of an unassuming gravel driveway. As you arrive the house reveals itself; a pretty home built of old Oxfordshire stone set within beautifully kept gardens.
You enter The Old Dairy via a lovely old courtyard with a boxed bay tree and lavender beds. The house itself opens onto a vaulted hallway before an old original front door.
Designed to accommodate large families, The Old Dairy has three sitting rooms including a cosy adults TV-room with a fireplace, a smarter drawing room overlooking the garden with carefully manicured flower beds and Topiary-lined pathways, and a chilled kids’ TV-room.
The attention to detail is apparent throughout the house, from the impeccably designed kitchen thought up for family meals in mind, and an atmospheric dining room set just off the kitchen.
The kitchen is well set up for cooking and entertaining, it is fully equipped with a five gas hob and fan oven, a range of quality pots and pans as well as children’s plates and knives and forks. Coffee lovers will enjoy making use of the coffee machine and milk frother.
A large boot room and downstairs loo is located on the other side of the kitchen allowing a great place to dump muddy boots and children’s things during your stay. The upstairs features an impressive master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room. The en-suite features a standalone shower and roll top bath as well as heated flooring. Look out for the original touches throughout the house such as the small original wooden window frame complete with iron bars in this bedroom.
Guests will love the second bedroom because of its cathedral ceiling and original beams – the addition of the roll top freestanding bath and double sink complete the grandeur of this room.
Further down the corridor you will find a children’s room complete with PaperBoy Blue Dinosaur wallpaper, full size bunk beds and further trundle bed sleeping three. A single sized room is opposite with a full size cot bed and a single bed for another child. (Please notethis room has no clothes storage.) The final room is located at the end of the corridor, it is adorned with animal print blue wallpaper and can accommodate up to two adults in twin beds..

The Old dairy is located right in the middle of Bloxham, with houses all around it, some parts of the garden are overlooked by other houses, but you do feel like you are in a little private oasis when at the property. Cleverly built walls and tall trees that screen the surrounding area mean the other houses do not impact your stay. The house is located on a very peaceful road, set back from the high street, despite being in a village the house enjoys a quiet location and there is virtually no noise at night. The pool area is totally private, and no neighbouring houses or windows can be seen from this part of the garden, and no one can see in! Bloxham has a few local pubs worth trying and which are walking distance, and the majestic Bloxham school is in the centre of the village.
The house is off the main road and very near to the pubs and shops of the town. Banbury train station is a handy 10 minute drive, and has frequent direct trains to London Marylebone station.
