The Greek sister to Yarrow Cottage, Halcyon is a heavenly hilltop villa in the unspoilt north of Zakynthos, the southernmost island in the Ionian. With its sun-kissed honey coloured stone, wild garden and dazzling sea views, Halcyon was tailor-made for a relaxing summer escape.
Sleeping eight in four en-suite bedrooms, Halcyon can comfortably accommodate two small families or a group of friends who are seeking a relaxing summer break on a beautiful Greek island.
On the ground floor Halcyon’s open-plan kitchen opens onto a dining terrace that looks out onto a verdant garden dotted with cypress, fig, almond, lemon and pomegranate trees. The garden leads down to a custom-built infinity pool framed with sun loungers and parasols. On the other side of the terrace is a shaded seating area which is ideal for evening drinks or for reading a book in the afternoon.
Inside, Halcyon is set across two floors. Upstairs there are two super king double bedrooms and the master and main guests rooms. On the ground floor are two further double/twin bedrooms, a wonderful large kitchen opening to the outside dining area, a separate living room/snug area. Please note that one of the ground floor bedrooms can only be accessed from the outside via its French doors.
Halcyon has beautiful views of the hilltops down to the olive groves and out to sea. There is a small outbuilding by the pool which contains a guest loo and a shower. Halcyon’s charm is undeniable, we love this villa and know you will too.

Halcyon is located in the lush hilltops in the northern tip of Zakynthos (Zante), the southernmost Greek island in the Ionian. The area has remained largely un-touristy due to its lack of beaches, but its rocky coastline is beautifully dramatic and the area is peaceful, laid-back and deeply charming.
How to get to Zakynthos
There are direct flights to the island from London, Manchester, Cardiff, Doncaster-Sheffield, Newcastle or Luton. International flights can either change at London or Athens. If you are island hopping in Greece, you can get a ferry to the port of Agios Nikolaos which is just a fifteen minute drive to Halcyon.

Down at the port of Agios Nikolaos you can book ferry trips to neighbouring islands and a boat trip to the famous shipwreck bay at Navagio beach. You can also view this famous site from above with a quick drive through the pretty town of Volimes where locals sell honey infused with thyme and wares from woven rugs to colourful ceramics. Slightly further down the island is the small town of Alykes which is great for picking up amenities.
