The Bledington Barn could not have a more picturesque and idyllic location, right on the edge of the green in Bledington and a stones throw from the fantastic Kings Head pub.
The typical Cotswold village of Bledington is a beautiful part of the country and the property is located right in the heart of the village. The green has a little stream running through it and is a hive of activity in the warmer months with village fetes, people picnicking and enjoying the surroundings. The Bledington Barn and village is also great for fun family staycation, children love splashing about in the stream searching for tadpoles and having an ice cream from the old fashioned ice cream hut on the green, whilst adults relax on the peaceful grass or enjoy a drink and great food in the pub nearby.
The Bledington Barn is situated on the grounds of the owner’s lovely farmhouse, but the property enjoys complete privacy and is a wonderful hideaway for either a family or a group of friends seeking a countryside escape.
The Bledington Barn is a luxurious eco-friendly property for up to six guests situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, and the pre-existing, 300 year old, dilapidated barn was beautifully renovated, recycling and re-purposing the majority of old materials, to create a spacious property with opulent furnishings set against exposed stone and original oak beams. The original cowshed window now houses the bathroom mirror, the hay loft ladder is now a towel rail, old engineering bricks have been cleaned up and work fabulously in tandem with the underfloor heating powered by a wood pellet boiler.
This light, spacious property has a huge open plan double height living room with comfortable seating for at least seven. The dining area caters for eight and the kitchen with Gaggenau appliances is a cook’s dream! The kitchen has a separate breakfast area to seat five. There is a downstairs antique wooden ‘throne’ loo and a separate dedicated laundry space with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs are the three bedrooms: the master with a king size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom can be a twin or a double, and the third bedroom has a single sleigh bed and a washbasin with a heated towel rail. A pull-out trundle bed gives additional space for one extra guest*. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower, loo and two beautiful Corian basins.
*If the pull out trundle bed is used, it should be noted that the space is limited.
