Cotswolds – May Bank Holiday Inspiration

From rolling hills for hearty walks to local pubs, for cosy afternoons the Cotswolds has all you need for a quintessential English escape.

May holidays offer a great time of year to be in the Cotswolds. If you are lucky enough to be enjoying an early heat wave you can have the joys of the summer whilst the top attractions are still relatively quiet.  If you like the great outdoors, you’ll love all of the attractions and events on offer in Cotswolds this May.

May is a busy time for events in the Cotswolds and there is always something going on. These are some of our favourite things to do whilst visiting:

CHELTENHAM JAZZ FESTIVAL | 2nd – 7th May

Hosted in Cheltenham’s Montpellier Gardens, in a tented festival village, the event features workshops, performances, sing-a-longs plus great hospitality. The Jazz Festival is a brilliant place to be over the May bank holiday.

OPEN GARDENS

You are spoilt for choice with what the Cotswolds has to offer in terms of beautiful gardens to visit throughout May.

KIFTSGATE COURT GARDEN

Open throughout May.

ROUSHAM GARDENS

GIFFORDS CIRCUS

Giffords Circus is a magical, musical village-green circus that tours Gloucestershire, the South West and beyond through the summer. Listed below are the closest locations to our Cotswolds properties.
