As the rest of country dances on tables, this weekend begins with a shameless slumber.
And continues the next day with a guilt-free snooze to the sound of waves.
Some scrambled eggs later, Sarah, the Beachspoke Massage Therapist arrives for a reflexology treatment.
Before the rest of the morning is relinquished to the nooks and crannies of St.Ives.
And a date with Cornish clotted cream.
Before the remaining sun tempts an early-evening meander along the harbour.
And a cozy cottage nightcap.
Then Sunday starts as it should, in bed with caffeine and a batch of hefty papers.
And some more exploring…
…to the studio of professional stained glass worker Deborah working away to watch of beady eyed observers.
An early dinner at 57 Fore street proves tapas with a Cornish twist is nothing other than a genius idea.
And a chat with Sarah, the owner, who used to live in Qatar, inspires pipe-dream aspirations of escaping abroad and doing something crazy and different.
The next day is spent in a new cottage, with fish, chips and champagne, and a private snug with an ocean view.
With a final gulp of sea air, two rested souls head back to the city with neglected phones and not a care in the world.
