Moon Shadow’s interior mixes the raw and the refined, the oceanic and the industrial. It’s a daring yet decadent 1 bedroom cottage for a memorable escape in St Ives.
Split over 2 levels, you’ll find the open plan living room and kitchen downstairs, and upstairs the whole space has been opened to the rafters with the bedroom area divided from the shower room by a built-in wardrobe.
The space feels surprisingly large for a 1 bedroom holiday rental in St Ives. Despite the fantastic 6ft super king bed, ample storage, flat screen TV and a brilliant walk-in shower area, the magic of this space is not the practicality, but the style in which it is finished. Meticulously thought out to maximise the compact size of the cottage, Moon Shadow is one of the most remarkable and distinct holiday lets in St Ives.
Downstairs, the first half of the living space has a fantastic chesterfield sofa, coffee table and 40″ TV above an electric fireplace; a great spot to chill out after a long walk on the beach. The L-shaped kitchen divides the space from the living area, with a compact larder fridge and a breakfast bar dining area. At the back is the downstairs loo.
The finish is exceptional. Amazing textures combine with mirrors and superb lighting to give this place an overwhelming quality you just can’t find in most holiday cottages in St Ives. With underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen, this is one of the most private and romantic self-catered cottages to rent in Cornwall.
